Karate and The Olympics

The martial arts of karate has not been on the Olympic System, however the World Martial arts Federation is recognized by the Global Olympic Board.  Launched in 1990, they have 191 affiliated schools as of 2010.

Karate as well as other forms of martial arts, in addition to offering sound training, teaches its students about self-confidence and respect – respect for other people as well as for yourself. In youngsters, they are extremely essential life skills, particularly for individuals who do not develop fully literally as soon as other people. The self-confidence which comes from learning how to behave, and the way to defend yourself, minimizes anxiety and enhances self-esteem. This results in a's and b's and leadership in class.

Here are some more blogs for learning about the martial arts:

Ninja Gear For Training

I have heard that climbing rope is suppose to be good for upper body strength. So I decided to try this type of training. At first I was not sure what to do, what to buy or how to start training.

Eventually I created my own training routine. It goes like this:

I have found this has really helped my upper-body strength. At first I could only go up half way. But after a few weeks I was able to get all the way to the top. Now I do it 4 times every day (except weekends).

I also use ninja climbing claws to help with climbing wood walls in my yard.

I am sure ninja's probably did this kind of training!
